Five Important Things You Need To Know About The Twin Cities Concert Schedule

Like the title says, there are five important things you need to know today about about upcoming concerts in the Twin Cities:

1. The weather is finally cooling down, which means that we're heading into perfect weather for outdoor concerts around town - so long as this weather streak holds. I love it!

2. I'm really hoping that a Taylor Swift schedule is released soon for her tour. I mean, I don't actually KNOW if she's going to tour, but I'm kind of guessing that a tour is going to come around sometime soon, dontcha think?

3. Kind of related to concert news, but kind of not: the US Olympic Gymnastics team will be touring with the National Gymnastics tour in the fall. After all of the hype surrounding the Olympics and the fab five this year, this is something I am NOT going to miss (plus my little girls are going to LOVE it!)

4. I'm thinking about hitting up the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show this holiday season. I've been once before - a loooong time ago. Usually my family likes to go to a Christmas-themed-show each season and this seems like it would be fun to go to this year!

5. The Minnesota State Fair is almost here. We're sitting just TWO weeks away from the start of a spectacular series of concerts that you're not going to want to miss. Want to check something out? I have a full concert schedule for you below:

Bruce Springsteen tickets rock my world

The Boss is coming to town. THE BOSS IS COMING TO TOWN. I know, I know - he tours almost every year. But I love Bruce Springsteen. I even love the country song ABOUT Bruce Springsteen. No, I didn't grow up in "his generation", but I still love the guy. His music is universal and his concerts are so much fun, I go with my mom every time he comes to town! Are you a Springsteen fan? Bruce Springsteen tickets go on sale Saturday and I'm definitely going to have to get my paws on some!

I was starting to get a little worried that there weren't going to be any *great* concerts this fall. It seems like there've been some really good concerts this summer, but the listings for the fall just weren't really coming through - until now. All of a sudden there are a ton of great bands announcing fall tours. If Taylor Swift went on tour this fall, my concert loving self would be so content I don't think I'd know what to do with myself!

What are your top fall concerts this year??

Zac Brown Band is coming to Minnesota

Oh yeah, it is official: the Zac Brown Band schedule has been released and these hottie patotties are coming to the Target Center this fall. I am SO excited: I absolutely love these guys! Ever since they played at the Grammy's a few years ago, I've been hooked. And so has my mom - and with my parents having a big anniversary this fall, I might just have to get them some tickets to go see these guys live in concert! My top THREE favorite ZBB songs - in order, of course!

3. Knee Deep
2. Free
1. Whatever it is

Actually for the last one, my hubby used to email me the music video when we were dating while I was at work because he said that it reminded him of me. Awe, I heart this guy! And in light of that...let me just share that music video with ya'll today:

Top Ten Things I Love About the Minnesota State Fair

Ok - I'm a big fan of the state fair. Which you should be able to see through all of the posts I make relating to the CONCERTS at the state fair. But in reality, here are my top ten reasons why I love everything about the Fair - from the concerts to the rest of the stuff. Enjoy!

1. I personally thing the Minnesota Grandstand is an awesome venue for outdoor concerts. At least better than any other outdoor venue in town!

2. I love cheese curds.

3. The people watching is the best. There's no other place where you can see Johnny Farmer in his overalls, Mikey Metro in his puma shoes and Lacoste shirt and grown men dressed up in KISS costumes at the same time.

4. The corn on the cob is amazing.

5. I love the midway - even IF some of the rides are uber creeptastic.

6. Sweet Martha's cookies will get me any day.

7. I love the big slide. And watching the little kids slide down for the first time!

8. P-R-O-N-T-O P-U-P-S

9. Machinery Hill. I have pictures of me and my bestie on tractors out there at three years old!

10. Deep fried candy bars. DUH.

Madonna Tickets and the MDNA CD

If you're an eighties fan like I am, then you're obviously a fan of Madonna. She's like the 80's girl legend, ranking right up there with the Breakfast Club movies and permed hair. But what you may not realize is that she's coming to TOWN this fall - she'll be at the Target Center in October! Obviously this is a MUST GO TO show. In fact, I've already gotten my Madonna tickets - I was afraid they would sell out! Regardless, if you aren't going to be in town or can't shell out the money, I have another Madonna related task for you: Like PerfectTix on Facebook. They're a local ticket broker and they're going to be giving away FREE copies of her new CD, MDNA, over the next 2 weeks on their Facebook page - score!

Brothers of the Sun Tickets: It's this weekend!

Are you as excited as I am for the first EVER concert at Target Field? On Sunday, as in THIS WEEKEND, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw take the field to put on the show of the summer. I have no idea what to expect, I just know that this is a show I'm really excited to go see. I'm going to be in the sand bar - the spot (on the field) that's being turned into an actual beach - awesome! Check out a video of their show in Dallas - if this doesn't convince you that you need to get your hands on some Kenny Chesney tickets, I don't know what will!

KISS Tickets at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand

Did you know that KISS Is coming to the State Fair this summer? I got my KISS Tickets already. And even though they're not my FAVORITE band, I am still super excited to see this band live and in concert. Their music is classic and the people watching will be superb. Plus they are known to put on a great show for their fans! Don't believe me? Check out this video:
